Membership

  • No. Membership is open to artists, designers, makers and anyone working seriously with wood or fabrication, whether established or developing their practice.

  • Membership is £100 per year.
    Induction is £25 (one-off).
    Workshop sessions are £12.50 per half day.

    CNC work and technical support to develop a project is charged separately on a project-by-project basis depending on complexity.

  • Membership allows you access to book workshop sessions and use the woodworking machinery and shared facilities once inducted. Members receive priority access to workshops, technical support, CNC and substantial discounts compared to non-members, as well as discounted skills sessions.

  • Not necessarily. All members complete an induction before using the space. We also run regular skills-building sessions, which members can attend at a discounted rate.

Workshop Use

  • Workshop sessions are booked online in half-day slots. Sessions must be booked through the membership portal on this website at least 24 hours in advance unless otherwise agreed.

  • Members can access woodworking machinery, hand tools and co-working facilities during their booked session. CNC use must be booked with a technician and is charged separately depending on the scope and complexity of the project.

  • Members are expected to bring their own materials and appropriate personal protective equipment. Materials and PPE can be purchased from us if needed but must be arranged in advance.

  • Storage is limited and must be agreed in advance. Please speak to us before planning longer-term use of space.

  • If you need technical support beyond standard access, technician time can be arranged separately, charged at an hourly rate.
