Community Polytunnel

We were commissioned by Middlesbrough Environment City to make them a practical and welcoming space for volunteers using the Community Polytunnel at their site on Sandy Flats lane. We completed this project in July 2026 after the frames had been re-stretched and made waterproof. We utilised a pegboard system across such of the furniture to make an adaptable and accessible space which can grow with them and new pieces added at a later space. At the centre of this project is a two hight table for people to sit at or stand at. The Benches also have accesibility in mind and have removable back support and arm rests. To add a splash of colour we used OSMO coloured wax finishes on the seating.
